One of the problems with glaucoma is a color vision disorders. An increase in intraocular fluid pressure can damage the optic nerve. It reduces the ability of the eye to detect colors.People with color vision defects are having trouble choosing some of their jobs such as driving, piloting, repairing electrical appliances, and other jobs that deal with color vision.

Methods:

In this study, information about the pressure of the eyes of the people as well as the stage of the disease and the treatment of people from their medical records were extracted. Then the patient's color vision disorders were examined using the D15 color vision test.

Results:

The results of the examination of color vision by the D15 test indicated a color vision disorders in the glaucoma subjects. So that 67.3% having color vision disorders and only 32.7% had normal color vision. The results of this study showed that there are various types of color vision disorders including tritanomaly, deuteranomaly and protanomaly in glaucoma cases, and the highest percentage of color vision disorders in glaucoma cases is related to tritanomaly dysfunction (36.4%).

Conclusion:

The color vision of these subjects, like other studies, has been impaired, and this reflects the effect of glaucoma on the color vision. Therefore, more evaluations should be made in this disease to prevent its irreversible effects.
